My Hopes Have Been Dashed! Will Have To Wait For New Tank!

Well, as some of you may know, I ordered my new Juwel Vision 180 yesterday!!! I cleared my tank of a hideous strain of Whitespot (or so I thought!!!!) 2 weeks ago.

ITS BACK!!!!!!!

Have started treating again, so it looks like I wont be setting up my new tank for quite a while!

What meds are you using?

Are there any reasons you can see for stress in the fish, bullying, poor water quality, tank loaction?

Before, I used 2 courses of Protozin, a course of Ichcide and as a last resort, a course of FMG!!!! The FMG seemed to clear it up.

Stats are as good as they can get:

Ph 7.0
Ammonia 0 ppm
Nitrites 0 ppm
Nitrates 5 ppm

I have changed tact, and am doing a full course of Myxazin.

Hi I would keep treatment in for at least 4 days after the white spots disappear. I dont know whether you did anyway or not it's just that I learned the hard way that the wehite spots are pretty irrelevant to wiping out the condition and its the larvae stage which you can kill and this stage only occurs once the spots fall off the fish so it is important to keep up the temp to increase the speed of the white spot life cycle and keep the treatmenbt in longer than all physical observations can be seen.
