Its a kinda MAGIC!! ^_^
my female guppy has lost most of her scales on one side does anyone know what this is or how i can treat her im really worried and i dont want to loose her because shes mum to seven lots of fry thanx for any advice

only hit reply once! also, why do you need 2 seperate posts for this?
do you have a filter other than a sponge filter that could cause enough current for her to possibly get stuck to? maybe she got stuck and it tore away some of her fins. if it does not look like an infection or fungus i guess i would try putting her in a hospital tank and using some melafix (do NOT use melafix in the same tank as fry or they are likely to die).... just keep an eye on it and see if her condition improves over the next week, or if a whitish film begins to grow she may have an infection/fungus of some sort
