:dunno: Well I duno what happend but my Guppie is back to her normal size, still a little grey but otherwise deffinatly looking better, her one and only fry however died last night, she lasted 9 days so I duno what happend it was quite well when I went to bed last night and then this morning, nothing!. My Guppie was huge but smoething must have gone wrong, I think that maybe they died inside her. So hopefully there will be a next time and hopefully it will turn out better. Just wanted to share my sadness with you.

Chereo Yvonne

And so you have, i had a young guppy female, now her mother died shortly after birth, and shortly after the mother died the father died too, leaving two young female guppies under my care, now it has been 3 months since this happened and they had grown into fine looking female guppies, spitting images of their mother, however one was bigger than the other, now the other day the smaller one seemed to be struggling to swim, then she seemed to lose all swimming balance, and just as i was going to hook her out and put her in my little hospital, she dissappeared o_O

I came to look for her the next morning, only to find her dead ;(

So now i have the larger one of the two still alive, but she seems to be struggling to swim to... and if i thought my guppy problems were over, my male guppy too has disappeared and he was so colourful, and another adult female guppy i have (Ash) looks like she is close to popping it, and i have been treating her and i dont know what is wrong with her

;(

I am very sorry to hear about you guppy fry, because i know how that feels

;(

I have been breeding show guppies for quite a while now. I must say that the number one killer of guppies in my expereince is complications during pregnancy. Sometimes they just cant pass the babies. The addition of epsom salt during this time can help, but the overall results are not greatly improved.

Hi all, thanks for getting back to me. It's good to know that this sort of thing happens to most of us. I am pleased to say however that my female Guppie seems quite well, she has began swiming with the others as she did before and has started eating again! Hopefully this will continue.

Bye for now, Yvonne :flex:

Glad that she did make it in the end :) . Shame about the fry though :-( By the sounds of it they did die inside her. This can happen for all sorts of reasons and one of the reasons I don't use breeding nets for preggers mums.
But she is well at thats the main thing..better luck next time
