I am new to the fish world and my first fish where guppies. I had 3 at first 2 female and 1 male. Then 1 week later we got new baby guppies, more then the recommended amount of adding new fish. At first all of my guppies seemed ok the one of the females died. I knew this could happen when adding new fish. Then a couple of days later my other female died. I thought the male adjusted to the new fish and was doing just fine and has been one week. Until yesterday,my male died unexpectedly and I did not know the reason I added "API" ammonia lock and stress coat because my ammonia level was a little high and did a watter change last Saturday also I added a heater. Thinking that my fish should be fine now because the watter should be adapted to them. Until today when one of the baby guppies died. It's gills are supper red like blood. It was acting fine this morning when I fed it and when I came back from school it was dead. Can anyone give me an explanation or a reason why this is happening? Another guppy is acting weird and I think she will be the next one to go.

Did you check nitrite and nitrate? This may also be a cause for red gills. Are they still eating?

Can you post the actual numbers from all your tests please? How big is your tank and how long has it been set up? Do you have a filter?

Sorry for all the questions, but the more information we have, the better we can help you.
