My Gourami

Hmm,
about a year back i bought two golden gourami's
my smaller female one just died a couple week ago (god bless her)
and now m big male is left
at least i think he is male
becuase he is more colorful, and large.
He is the king of his 40 gallon tank
which he shares with a tetra, a catfish, and a goldfish.
yes i know the goldfsh is odd, i rescued him from a tiny 1/2gllon tank
hey i couldnt let him suffer in that tiny thing...
anyways they all get along
i amgetting rid of the other tetra, catfish, and goldfish becuase i want to breed my gourami with another
tips?

first off you have to find a tank you can temporarily locate the gouramis to.. sort of like a breeding tank. reason being because once the bubble nest is fertilized with babies, relocating the adults back to the bigger tank is a must as they may try to eat the babies in the breeding tank. also, you must utilize the breeding tank to regulate sensitive gourami fry temperatures (about 84-86°F) in order for the babies to survive.

..yes and that is quite strange that you have a goldfish in the same tank haha

you have to be careful because the temputare needs to be not to warn or the fry will die
and some people have told me its hard to breed gurami ( dont know if its true )

well i decidx him, becuse i cant deal with breeding right now
but i did add some new additions to that tank today
I got another upsidedown catfish to accompany my other one
and a pearl gourami.
they all seem to be getting along well

Pearl Gourami has been picked on by my golden a lot,
i was about to return her/him until i notced the teasing stopped.
in fact, the pearl gourami gave my golden gourami a taste of his own medicine..
well im glad of all if has stopped.
ithey all seem to be peacefull...
