Haha yeah, got a slight issue with algae but decided to leave it on the dividers so the geo's (with fry) cant see them, plus the fry love eating it lol

Photo of the month? lol

Very nice, so I guess you'd be the right person to ask this to. I just picked up 2 sevs what I believe to be a m/f pair, but Im not 100% sure, one of them has orange colourations on the face (similar looking to what some species of discus have) and the other one doesn't. I know that the one with orange is a male, but would the other one be a female then?

As far as im aware its hard to sex sevs. i may have just been lucky. The male normally has a different shape (which is leading me to believe my 2 greens are female), the have a more pronounced "chest", better facial colourations and are generally larger.

Well my male is twice (litterally) the size of the female, with facial colourations. But the smaller one has no facial colourations so Im assuming she's a female :) Hopfully I'll have some paring off too, my sevs always stay together so mabye :D

Fingers crossed for you. Hope it works out. Got the breeding bug after my Geo's did it without me realising so decided to see if any of my 3 pairs of sevs will.

Heres hoping :)

Well im not really sure whats happened!

After all the mating rituals, pit digging etc the gold sevs have kinda given up!

Im not sure if there is a problem with on of them, it seems to constantly have a protusion from its body, aroud where the breeding organs would be.

Hmmmm

Well im finally hoping something is going to happen, there has been a lot of shaking at each other and the male today has been making "dry" passes at the slate the female normally lays on (and then eats), fingers crossed, always wanted Gold Sev fry :)
