My Glass Catfish Gettin Into My Juwel Filter

hey i purchased 5 glass fish catfish yesterday and woke up today to find only 4 of them in the tank i took off the lid to find 1 of them in the top of the filter i tried to get it out but had no look and dnt really want to kee trying as i mite stress the fish out. if it got in there will it get itself out please HELP!!! Is it an external or internal, if its external then you should have a strainer on the intake, internal filters usually have saides with grids on, so it must be an external filter. Take the filter, and pour all the water back into the tank, along with the fish, and sort something out to make sure it doesnt happen again

its a corner filter which cannot be removed, its not in the top anymore and i carnt see it. should i take out all the spounges etc?

i heard that you can even put a pantyhose on the filter intake to make sure the fish don't go into it.

Turn the filter off, take everything out, and see what he looks like, could possibly have passed away, after youve got the pads etc. out, try something like a small bag, put it in the corner, and open it out underneath him and pull it up out of the water, that'll get him in the bag, and pop him back into the tank. Let us know how you get on.
