as you all know, im talking about future stock, moving fish, ect. well, heres my cool idea:

1 bgk
1 peacock eel
1 rtbs
1 albino bristlenose plec
3 Botia kubotai (Polka Dot Loach)*doesnt own YET.*
many caves with more plants
eel tube condo
90 gal

so what do you guys think?

Sounds awesome!!! I think you might struggle with the eel in the tank long term, how long is the tank? About 4ft?

You have a lot of bottom dwelling fish, your tank might look quite empty?

If it was me, i might not get the loaches and go for a cichlid/pair of cichlids...

Your shark, BGK, Eel and Loaches will all be territorial at the bottom of the tank...

I really quite like Festive (flag) cichlids, Bolivian Rams, Smaller Geophagus species.... Oooh Rainbow Cichlids grow up to be lovely!!

Or maybe a pair of nice gouramis, like moonlights or pearls

Its really lovely to see you have thought about the loaches and not got for clown loaches Tho yo yos and kubotai at 15cm each are still pretty aggressive.

THANKS! i oviously cant keep a clown. lol
but i was thinking i woudnt get the chilids. im just not that kinda person, and im always nervous about keeping them.
so whats a good alternative besides chilids and loaches?
im really thinking about rainbowfish.

I love Bolivian Rams.

However, when you see them in LFS's they are often dull looking, but once they have settled in they are a lovely fish and a joy to have.

hes quite beautifuL! i cant wait! petsmart prob. doesnt have them so im gonna check out rift 2 reef and ddallas north aquarium. they are my fav lfs and usually make the right choices. at petsmart they give false info just so you buy the fish while the other 2 have experts.

so heres my final plan!

1 bgk
1 peacock eel

1 bolivian ram

are rams social fish? if they are, ill get two! if they need more, 3! if they need more, so on! so exited! but this is all gonna happen a long ways from now. my bros 75 isnt installed yet (its sitting in the garage until his room is fixed) so i cantr move my tetras, barbs, and corys before that.

Fantastic, I'm in England but I've seen a few posts on here regarding petsmart not being the best.

I think they can be kept alone, but I like watching mine interact with one another. To begin with my male would chase my female (lip locking/ tale slapping) but after a week or so things settled down, they started courting, paired off and spawned together and are now inserable with the exception of a little chansing every now and again. (probably as the male wants to spawn

This is from my experience, and I'm not an expert on them by any means. I would seek advice off some of the more experienced members of this forum before making a decision but 2 should be ok providing that you dont end up with 2 males!

I only have experience of keeping them in a pair in a 120l tank and they're fine.

I also know that some members keep trio's, one male and 2 females. The problem with keeping any more than this is that each pair will claim its own area, which may lead to aggression and territorial disputes. However, seeing as you have a large tank and lots of hiding places/caves it may not be such a big issue (from what I have read).

BUT, the bolivian rams spend 99% of their time at the bottom. They also are kind of small given your other future stock. Would a 2 inch female be at a risk? That being said I have a pair, you could also do a harem, one male and several females or probably two pair in that size tank. Gourami, angel fish and festivum cichlids would all stay higher, mid to top of tank.

Another suggestion, what about a large tetra like the congo tetra? My males are stunning.

i found a tank FULL of bolivian rams at this place called rift to reef aquatics. also they have kribs.
