what kind of betta would you say he is? and what his color called?

A veiltail, and I believe the coloring is called cellophane.

i would agree with veiltail, but i would have said he was a yellow not a cellophane.
as i understand it a cellophane has a flesh coloured body and clear fins. your boy has a yellow body and translucent yellow fins.

possibly might be referred to as a yellow cellophane?? i'm not sure?
