ok, my freind's biggest tank is a 10 gallon, ya know what he keeps in it? he keeps a:
frotasa cichlid
electric yellow cichlid
tiger barb
some type of loach
some type of catfish

it's already over crowded witht teh frontsa, what should i do, he won't listne.

well that was suicide. Eventurally fish will fight or die from disease. I felt sorry for the fish that being inside that tank.

Wait till he goes away, offer to babysit the fish then when he is away steal the fish and rehome them then say they died (add milk or something to the tank so he thinks it was nothing you did).....then educate him properly on fishkeeping and stocking etc.

eh, alot of people are stupid in our community, it took my brother 10 years to figure out there is a pause button on the vcr! i'm not kidding. so i doubt that'll help him, if i can just save the elcetric yellow, i just love em.

I did the same thing to someones betta. I went and got it and poured milk in the gallon tank. And told him it died while he was gone and I burried the fish. And he went to dig it up and I told him a cat watched me burry it and must have dug it up.LOL I dont think he really believed me. But I didnt care I was tired of watching him torture that poor betta. If it was lucky it might have got some fresh water once ever two months. And it wasnt a water change then it was just adding water to the tank. :dunno:

Well like they say...

"You can't tell a stupid man anything"

There's not much you can do it he doesn't listen.

I work with teenage boys. They all buy cichlids and feed them feeder fish. I have seen five or six of 3 or 4 inch different variety cichlids in 5 and 10 usg. They love the activity :hyper: I tell them, "thos fish are stressed," but they don't listen. Then they wonder why they die. I tell them that we have high amounts of chlorine in our well water as well as metals, that they need to use water conditioners. They look at me in wonder (if not with attitude) and walk away. Sigh

well jolly they dont worth any kind of advice just let them have more dead fish. That kind of amature should learn their lesson one way or another.
