i bought 3 FMs (1") the other day, and now theres only one left, although of the 3 the one still there doesnt hide from me like the others did

the 2 that died where extremly shy, although they were eating because they had fat tums. the first one looked like it had been attacked.the second one was sitting in the same place atop the filter near the surface for the past 2 days and had very dark eye rings, so i knew it was in trouble and i just found it dead. :( the one still alive does not have dark eye rings and isnt as skittish
does anyone know what the problem could be?

45L tank with a 1" severum
ph 7.2
nitrites 0
amonia 0
temp 30C (woops, just turned it down aiming for 27/28.)
50% water change every 2 days

Why are they in a 45L tank???? You must know that is too small, even if its just for QT, then only one fish at a time in there.

How did you acclimatise them?

acclimatised by putting the bag in the water for 10, then tipped some tank water in the bag and let it sit for 5 then poured the bag into the tank with the fish. perhaps this is the reason as they were quite skittish since i got them.

i don't think the tank is too small for 1" fish considering the water changes
ive sucessfully used it as a grow out tank for fry to a bit over an inch

the blue acaras are not in the same tank as them. as i'm sure the large one would make supper of them.

You should take longer to acclimatise if possible (minimum 30 minutes of adding water). It's also better to net the new fish out of the bag to get them into the tank rather than emptying the bag. As emptying the bag puts everything into your tank/s ie. anything bad in their water is now in your water.

The temperature wouldn't have been nice either. Probably set your heater as low as 23-25C considering how warm it gets here in Australia. I have mine currently on 24C and even at 4am it hasn't dropped that low yet, although I'm further south than you (Illawarra).
