Well now at day 17. Doing the Add amonia and w8 routine. My ammonia today is down to 1 ppm. my nitrite has been constant at 0.25 ( Trace of Nitrite) for 8 or 9 days now and my Nitrate is at 10 ppm for past 5 days. PH is constant between 7.0 & 7.6.
I have not had a nitrite spike yet as it has never been over 0.025.
Should I add ammonia back up to 4 ppm ? dont want to loose my bacteria growth that I have so far, even though it may be small.

My Ammonia has not dropped right to 0 so far, its always seems to get to 1ppm and stops so whenever it gets to 1ppm now I take it back upto around 4ppm. From what I have read on here your ammonia will suddenly start dropping to 0ppm over night and your NitrIte should start to spike. Hopefully that is acurate but if no I'm sure a someone with more experience will answer you

No, I think that's an accurate description stormy. Sounds like you guys are doing fine and its right that later the signs will be suddenly stronger, you will not miss them.
