My Fish!

Okay, I just can't contain myself anymore, and I must show off my new babies!

I got Monomezurashii (Moe) last sunday! He was my first fish in a few years. (I used to help my parents with their fish rooms, but this is the first I've had entirely on my own in about 5-6 years.

And below is Pearl, he came home with me yesterday when I brought home thier new 16.5 gallon tank. (I'm planning on housing 3-4 betta divided tank in there eventually. Letting the tank cycle with my happy healthy betta.)

They are 10 minute or so sketches, and I did my best to get their colorations/shapes right. Moe doesn't have the purple on the end of his tail like I thought when I was drawing him (Bad lighting), but Pearl is pretty much accurate.

I'll be good and quiet up about my babies now

(Sorry it took so long to reply, I was out of the house all day long.)

Monomezurashii basically translates to curious, because hes always guarding his turf and poking his nose everywhere Agressive little bugger.

Pearls blowing himself up a bubblenest.... maybe hes gay. The only other fishie he has is Moe, who isn't building a nest... *giggle*

I need to get some plants in there so Moe can hide and Pearl can hide. I can't wait until I can borrow a friends camera, then I'll get real photos of them

the same thing happened to me today with my betta building a bubble nest. the people on this forum said it was becuase he's happy. so well done on keeping pearl happy!

Thank you Pearl is probably happy because he got the bigger end of the 16.5 gallon tank. *laugh* Moe needs a cave to hide in so hes happier.

Pearl is just a little guy, so adorable, and so full of energy. (Which is why I gave him the bigger side. He spends his day darting around like hes king of the world.)

And Moe is so adorable when he flares and tries to show Pearl that hes boss!
