My Fish

Hello everyone, im wondering if anyone could help me out? I joined this site about a week ago and have a few questions to ask. First of all my tank is 58ltrs in it I have 2 silver sharks, 1 angel fish, 5 neons, 2 gouramies and a yellow algae eater. I would like to know if these kinds of fish are okay to be in together? As I dont really know much about fish yet. Also im getting a new tank soon if anyone could advise me on what size to get?

Well the neon tetras cant be with the angel because the angel will eat them. And how many us gallons is that?

Also are silver sharks bala sharks? Because bala sharks have to be in a 55 gallon tank or larger. And they also would eat neons.

I just did research on silver sharks and they are bala sharks. If i were you I would keep the neon tetras in the tank you have now, and get a much larger tank for the balas and angel. I would get a 55 gallon. The larger the fish tank is the easyer to take care of it. and plus you could get some more angels or more bala sharks. Hope this helps!!!

Oh I forgot about the gouramis, and alage eater. What type of gouramis are they? I believe they would be okay with the balas and angel. Also the golden alage eater is going to get big so it would have to go in the 55 gallon too.

@halfbloodprincess just over 15 us gallons!!! more bala sharks in a 55? a fish that grows to over 12"

think the silver sharks and angel fish will soon outgrow the tank and the guramis may well grumble too, though i can well see why you like them. take a look in the fish index, that may give you some idea of how your stock will develope.

Thankyou halfbloodprincess and boboboy. I have had the fish for a year nearly, so far the angel and sharks have been okay with the neons. I couldnt tell you what kind the sharks are they are silver with black tips on their fins and tail. The only prob I have is the angel and biggest gourami tend to fight a bit. Im hoping to get my new tank next week.

I had forgoten that the balas get over 12 inches long. That means you wouldent be able to get more. You would have to stick with the fish you have if you put them in a 55 gallon. But with out the neon tetras. Good luck!!!!!!
