Hi, on my fist day I lost a neon tetra, now my two biggest fish now have "ick". I added a liquid into the water to help, but now I lerned that it is harful to tetras and I only have tetras. I could use some advise.

Fishnseth.

ick aka white spot is best treated with either interpet anti whitespot or protozin or king britsh ws3

To speed up the cycle of the white spot up the temp to 29-30ºc and add and air stone as the higher temps reduce the oxygen in the water

oh and welcome to TFF

Just do not panic... Ich is the most "curable" disease..... Simply raise your temperature to about 31.5 degrees for approx. 3 days, & gradually reduce again to 26/27.... That'll take care of yer Ich problem.....

Hi fishnseth :)

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

I see by your first post that you live in Canada. If you go to my controls and edit your profile information, you can have that show under your name. You can also add an avatar if you would like. Then if any of our Canadian members read your thread they can help you by suggesting products that are available in your country.

I'll move your thread to the Emergency section where more members are likely to see it.

Thanks for moving me, my Dad explained to me about forums so I hope I will post in the right spot next time.
My tank is only 2 weeks old, 1 week with fish.
I Used Super ICK Cure from API today and am raising the temperature now.
Thanks for your help, everyone, I will let you know how they do

Seth
