Hi!
Have you cycled your tank?
What are your water parameters like?
If you don't have a test kit, you can bring your water to the LFS and ask them to test it for you, ask them to give you the numbers and make sure they use liquid test kits!
Do not accept "your water is fine"  as an answer!!
Once again, ask them to write the numbers down!!

Heck, I'm so paranoid I ask them to look at the test tubes with the chart!

I'm not sure what your tank is, how many gallon it is, but with 4 goldfish, you must be overstocked!
Goldfish require A LOT of water to be able to cope with the ammount of waste they produce!

hi,the tank is well cycled as iv had it for several months and i own a trigon 190 so i think its big enuff,my levels r all gud, have a test kit which i test often, water gets chlorinated before it goes in the tank, thanks for replying

The trigon is barely enough for one goldfish, not trying to be rude.
Depending on what type of goldfish you have..
If you have fancy goldfish, it's 30Gallon for the first one, then 15 per other.
Catfish are by far one of the most dirty fish you can get and will foul your water in no time.

The Cloudy White colour you are refering to tells me you are experiencing a bacteria bloom, which would tell me your tank might not be cycled.

What kind of test kit do you have? And please post the results, because without those, it doesn't tell me much!

What medication did you use? and are you still using it?, the problem sounds parasitic, the stringy poo would be intestinal worms, which I am presuming that is what you have medicated for. Some medications can upset the bacteria in your filter, hence the bacterial bloom. The flicking could be distress from ammonia (similar flicking to ich can occur) check for rapid gill movements and if the medication course has been completed I would suggest a 10% wc daily until the filter catches back up again, keep an eye out for small white grains on the skin, stressed fish are also more prone to ich. Hope this helps

Hi,thanks for replying, the test kit i use is a "interpet easy test" and the results are as follows
amonia- 0.1-0.4mg/ltr
nitrite- 0-0.1mg/ltr
nitrate- 10-25mg/ltr
ph broad range 7-8.5phl
the medication is "king British" disease clear, the dose im following is 1ml for 2gallon (41 gallon tank) i do this every 3 days with 10% wc daily,
iv still got the problem but water is less cloudy today but not clear,iv been medicating for 5 days,
yes some gf have rapid gill movement and are breathing a lot quicker than others, the bigist gf is 8cm long the others are 6cm n smaller, the catfish isn't that big either around 10cm n slim,i hope this helps, thank you peeps
Forgot to mention that the gf i have are basic ones like the ones you wud get from the fayre.

This is my catfish, anybody know I'd?
My goldfish needing I'd
More gf needing I'd?
Thanks
