My First Snail

I found the little devil round the back of my filter today, can I be expecting more?

I'm just being absolutly sure about this, snails need other snails to reproduce don't they?

Hi,

What kind of snail is it http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=75554 if its a pond snail or ramshorn they breed like mad and don't need to mate. These are the pest snails most commonly found on plants. Apple snails have both sexes but you'd be lucky to get one free.

It appears to be a Ramshorn Snail but it is very small and I cannot tell, and I would take a picture but it spends all of its time at the surface and behind the filter.
