That's very clean looking! I like it :) what size is it?

Looks nice, and especially when the plants mature :)

It's a fluval 180. 180 litres. yes, plants are brand new, hence not gone brown and died yet lol.
I like a clean minimalist look, within reason, I appreciate the fish have to have places to hide

Same although my tank only has rock, so it's very minimal! Did have a lot of plants though, you going to feed the plants at all? That'll help keep them looking nice.

I'm putting a liquid in that was recommended. Just a question, the orange fish like being up near the surface, is this normal or should I be worried?

Liquid ferts seemed to work quite well for me. Not sure about your fish, although sure someone will be along to help. Is there enough agitation to the surface i.e enough oxygen do you think? Probably normal though.

I like minimal. Your orange fish look like platies, can you upload a pic of just them? They usually swim all over the tank. If they are constantly at the top and look like they are taking a breath then start to worry.
Are you new to the forum and did you cycle your tank before you added the fish? The filter should be breaking the waters surface to create oxygen but live plants usually help with this too.

I just tested and ammonia 0, nitrites 0.3, so did a water change, will see what happens. Tank was cycled etc
I will post a pic of the orange ones tomorrow if that is ok, the tank light has just gone off and I don't want to stun them by turning it on again.
Nice to have people that I can bounce questions off though

Yeah that's fine. It's good you did a water change, the nitrites need to be 0. They do look like platies to me. We are all here to help :)
