My Bettas House In New York
I was really into fish for a couple of years, I had a couple of tanks, and a few male bettas (about 8) bettas have always been my favorite! But about a year ago my grandfather passed away, and at the same time my family hit a lot of money trouble, so I was forced to give up the fish I loved. But now I've been able to get back into keeping fish. I recently set up a 10 gallon tank with 4 platies (3 females, 1 male) and 4 network cories, and today I finally got a new betta!! I went to the local lfs, and all of the bettas were sitting in their little cups, wagging their little betta booties, but when I went and looked at the tanks I saw one of those little tiny things that hang on the inside of the tanks, and it had the most beautiful betta ever in it! But he could barely move and was just sitting there completely vertical, my first thought was that he had some kind of swim bladder problem, but I just couldn't leave him there, so I bought him. He's now happily exploring his new 1 gallon bowl and not swimming odd at all, I think he just hated the small space. Ok enough of my rambling, meet Patriot!!

wow, great coloring, shame about the way they are kept in fish stores, well done for saving him.taking it as all family probalms sorted them selves out, glad for you. welcome back to the fish keeping hobby.

He's georgeous - likes posing for the camera :)

He's beautiful and personable! I was so thrilled to acquire a new betta boy a few months ago after I lost a few over the last years. They're such little pals--and clowns!! Mine only flares at me when I put my nose up to his in the tank!!! He looks like Mickey Mouse--with those "ears".

Enjoy!!
