They can normally manage for a good 12 hours before it becomes a problem as long as you leave the door shut.

Yep thats what I've been advised. More so with the freezer. I'm gonna buy the £1 bags of ice at Morrisons to put in my fridge to keep that tickety boo. Nothing worse than warm milk YUK

my tanks have just survived the electricians being in to rewire house the power was off from 8.30am till 4pm mond-fri this week i was a nervous wreck but all was fine.just fed on alternate days and they were ok.

the good news is though that the contractors are gonna rig me up a supply that i can keep my fish tanks going if its gonna be more than a few hours.
