A few quick pictures of the tank I'm setting up for Lake Tangiyikan cichlids - small ones obviously. Only current residents are an upside down catfish and a neolamprologus brichardi. I'm looking to add others in a month or so - once the tanks fully setup. The big filter you can see to the right is a Fluval 4+ that won't fit properly if stood upright. I'm going to get a Fluval 3 instead, but its going to have to wait for a month or so.

I'm looking to add more plants to the left side of the tank, behind and to the left of the bogwood - something hardy. I'm also going to add a small cave to the rear right of the bogwood, and possibly another in front of where the filter will be (once I've changed it over to a Fluval 3.)
If I go with shell dwellers then I'll lob in a handful behind the main rock feature.

Any thoughts or recommendations? At the moment I'm trying to stay practical and create a number of small territories but with a few hardy plants mixed in for colour.

bring the flu 4 to me and ill swap you for a flu 3...i have a few...pm me

Looks good so far, I think you plans of more plants and a few more caves will work nicely. Just a note on shelldwellers, don't expect your shells to stay where you put them as they will move them where they like. :good:
