I thought I ought to post some photos of my babies!! They are really poor quality photos and I dont have a new one of my blue turq (type thing)!
Anyhoo..just a reminder..
Tank: 340L Aqua One tank, TetraTec 600 + TetraTec 1200 with copious ammounts of JBL BioNitrateEx and ceramics in, Bare bottomed tank with 3 bits of bogwood and anubias for clownloach to hide behind.
Fish: 6 Clown Loach (2 @ 15-16cm, 2 @ 12-13cm, 1 @ 10cm + 1 @ 7cm), 3 Discus (1 x Red Turquoise, 1 x Blue Turquoise but dont know patterning, and 1 x Red Melon), and 3 x Angels (1 x Koi, 1 x 'zebra' + 1 x Platinum).
Ok...so i know its photos you want.. I dont have photos of tank itself but it doesnt look great tbh, it needs backing and i need to sort hood and glass, it leaks like a git from the top edges all the way round which means i have water marks down tank and i cant reach behind it, worse still... used to be my marine tank and so has salt stains down glass too! Plus tank sits on the floor rather than on a stand as it is such a deep tank, its next to the settee and forwards a bit so i can watch either tv or fish lol.
Discus
Red Turquoise (has been a male for the last 4 years but now we are starting to think that 'he' is actually a SHE and would explain why my new female got bullied to a point i had to take her back!) I have had to edit photo, she is a LOT more red then she looks there!
Blue Turquoise/unknown (Always thought it was a female, again, purchased for my Red 'male', these two do squabble a bit, not much, the Red is big enough to lord it over everything, the others just get out the way. Sorry the photo is so bad! It was taken 5 months ago about 20 minutes after she was first introduced to the tank so sh looks hacked off and thin, she is much more rounded now, no long face! and much brighter)
Red Melon (Admittedly, is my absolute favourite fish ever! personality is THE best, this lil dude is just called 'lil melly or lil melon' and he loved to be stroked and tickled and sit in my hand and be fed worms one at a time! Love it!)
Angels
Platinum (Called Platy. my second favourite fish and fast catching up, she is a babe, so well behaved, she was only added a week or two ago, i have always wanted a platinum angel, she is so so shiney!)
Koi (Called Egghead, has suddenly decided to go very very orange! The only orange she had on her was a splat on top of her head with little streaks looking like it was running lol. Aggressive little git! Used to be ever so timid and get beaten up by my other female who i had to return to work after she ate about £50 worth of killifish and baby bristlenoses!)
Zebra (Cant repeat name, loves to wind Egghead up by following very closely, nudging then shooting away to hide behind big discus. Can't believe the growth rate on this fish, at christmas it was the size of a 20p coin with little fins... now its the biggest angel despite being youngest by miles!! top to bottom fin he is about 15cm+ now! from the 2cm he was! Personally... think he is a bit ugly, good thing he has character! My OH loves wild colour angels so picked him out, he looks nice when he's angry but a relaxed zebra is one with very pale stripes.)
Clown Loach
