First of all, a bit of an introduction.
Both me and my dad are avid animal lovers, between us we have around 40 years of experience, keeping anything from Birds of prey, Reptiles, Amphibians, and of course, Aquatics. We have kept literally hundreds of species of fish, from the smallest tetra to the larger cichlids to saltwater setups, one thing we haven't kept yet is pond fish, due to the massive amount of filtration usually required, we don't have tons of space in the house.
My dad has recently started to set up a tank, its near enough a 2FT Cube, Clearseal brand, its an extremley nice looking set up, i'm in the process of taking pictures and uploading them
Tank is filtered by the new TMC V2 Powerbox 400, which i have to say is a mint filter, runs pretty much silent without any vibration absorbing stuff added. it was also a doddle to set up and get running, My dad decided to take out the supplied LED lighting and replace it with some T5 bulbs, one colour bulb and one white, with a spare of each.
Stock wise i think my Dad is looking at getting Malawi or Tangs, with the tank not being huge he will obviously be looking at smaller species.
Does anyone know of a supplier who can get Synodontis Multipunctatus? My dad see's them as one of the best catfish species to keep with Malawi and through experience i have to agree.
I will upload pictures as soon as, the rock scape may change, as i'm not too sure about it (scaping is usually my job)
Also, i am in the process of setting a couple of tanks up, one being a tiny 18" tank, the other around 24x24x15 front to back, which is such an unusual shape i could not pass up the opportunity for such a set up for £45 for a brand new tank! Already have heaters, filters, several lighting options, sand, decor... pretty much only needed the tank!
