If you like the pot, you can keep it, but the Mbuna won't use it. They like two entrances to their hidey holes, in case they need a fast exit. More rocks would be a good idea........

Also, have the rocks stacked on the glass, as opposed to the sand. They do like to dig, and that can cause a collapse if the rocks aren't stable...

Yeah ive actually taken out the pot now but I didnt think you could stack the rocks against the glass? If this isnt the case and I can indeed use the glass for support I can get alot more rocks in.

you cant, he means stack them on the bottome pane of glass because if they dig then they will fall down, just push the sand to one side, then redo it.

Oh I see what you mean and the rocks are stacked on the glass.I did the rocks before I put the sand in there.

My rocks are leaning against the glass, in some places...I haven't had a problem. Should I expect one...

Don't bother with real plants as the Mbuna will eat them...I have silks in my tank. The silks look OK, and they help break up the line of sight of the fish. The tank does look lovely...perfect substrate for Mbuna!!!

nice tank mate would look better with some fake plants IMO but up to you good start

it dpends how heavy the rocks are, it wont matter to much if they are only small, but it is bad if they have a point, because all the force is put through that 1 part rather than it being a flat surface.
