Nice :) Mine is sitting here on my computer desk half full of cold water with some substrate in it.... waiting for inspiration to hit me, lol. And for me to buy a heater for it.

Looking nice, like the wood especially. You going to add some more plants? Some stems growing up through the branches of the wood could look cool :)

Looks good, I agree with Themuleus.

Two questions, is that a bumblee goby I think that's what they are called in the first pic, black and yellow?
How do you test to make sure the twigs are ok to use in your tank?

atm

I'm guessing you added mature filter media from a different tank, that was set up real quick! Nice layout aswell :)

I dried some oak twigs out in the oven for my AquaCube, but (albeit with no fish yet) most have developed what I guess is mould/fungus on them. For now I'm leaving them alone in the tank to see what happens, I'm planning on taking them out and cleaning this off soon, just wondered if yours may do the same?

What's your livestock, I see what looks like a bumblebee goby, a female betta, a gourami and a bunch of snails? Gouramis and bettas traditionally don't mix.

Otherwise, the tank looks pretty cool.

I would have though a female betta and gouramis would be fine..right? Theres also what appears to be a lone cory in there. Other than that, really nice looking tank :good: .
Cant wait for mine to arrive, i just got everything for it excluding plants and fish for christmas! :D

Wow Did not expect that many replies.

The Filter was in the old tank maturing so jusy swapped it over. and added 20% water from the old tank. (did lose a few fish namely the Neons in the 1st night)

Thw twigs i am not sure what they are to be honest, got them from the driftwood section on ebay. But now i know about oak. will try and find some of those. When i got the twigs I soaked them in a Rain Butt for a few weeks then scrubbed them down and left them to dry, before adding to the tank.

Planting - I am stil thinking about that - I have loads of Java Plantlets that are big enough to attach. Lots of Creeping jenny aswell and Swords and Crypts and Java Moss and vallis all in the Daphnia tank. so it will evolve.

Stocking.

I have never had probs between Honeys and Fighters and have always kept them together without issues.

The BBG is a FW BBG - FW = thick solid black lines and BW = Broken bitty black lines.
I have a few cories: Julli,Green,Panda
I did have alot more fish especially more gold minnows but a batch of plants crashed the tank a while back.

Trying to grow some riccia i found in the daphnia tank to make a carpet in the bottom left > foreground.

The best thing about the Twigs is watching the Shrimps scurrying along the branches and catching passing food. Want to get more but pricey ATM.

I want to get more small fish if i can find them or get the LFS to get them in, Might try pets at home again after there next delivery and see what they misprice.
