My Cories Are Spawning Everywhere!

Wow, this really is the week for cory breeding! Everyone's cories have gone wild. Maybe the seasonal changes, eh @NCaquatics ?

I did NOT expect this! I was in the fish room watching the cherry barb tank and turned around to the Cory tank. Spotted the first clutch. They were everywhere! Must have just done it because snails didn’t have a clue. I scraped off what I could and put them in the breeding tank with the barb fry ( that I haven’t seen yet). The tank is only half full and at 76F. I added some MB. Anything else? Temp Ok? I counted 66 but not all are fertile, I’m sure.

Fantastic! Yours are panda cories, right? Crossing fingers and toes for a good hatch rate!

Happy for you, you wanted to breed cories! Even if you hadn't planned to just yet... lol. They have a way of catching us off guard it seems.

They sure do! Wasn’t expecting that at all. I have a feeling these are my albinos but could be panda or bronze. Could be mutts too. Lol!

Congrats!! Its that time of year :D

Feed starting the 3rd day after the first ones hatch and add a thin bit of sand at 7 days old :) it increases the odds of survival.

Were they laid in big clusters on the glass or in small patches here and there?

They were all in cluster but no more than about 6 at a time??? Some only a few. What does this mean?

In pics a see a couple of 10 -12 but not all stuck together.

I only have 2 pandas left . We’ll see what we get:)
