My Completed Group Of Cories

I see we have a fish psychologist in the making - one that can read his fish's minds lol

Where's the link to the site that says it's ok to keep one of each type and that they will shoal together? Wouldnt mind a read of that...

i dont need to be a psychologist, i only have to have eyes to tell that they are shoaling together and are perfectly happy. :grr:

I can tell you that they wont be happy and need to be in groups of 3+ of their own type.

i can tell you that they are happy, i wish people wouldn't go on about it, they are shoaling and are perfectly fine. i am now trying to find the id of the last picture.

There has been research into this by experts and the fact is that they prefer to be in groups of 3+, the situation would have been much easier if you would have just accepted the fact in the first place and then we wouldnt have to repeat ourselves. I dont like to do it but you are just denying fact.
This is especially frustrating since it appears that you have rejected the help offered to you in a past thread where people have given up their own time to help you and give you advice.

Ha :sly:

I would hardly call that proof. How are they any different from the posters on this site, besides the fact that they are telling you what you want to hear? Anyway, they said cories will live peacefully together, not that they would shoal.

Corys of the same spieces behave in a total different way to thoses that are different. example take your collection, you 5 of 3 different spieces that seem to get along fine, thats ok but if you had 5 bronze for example there behaviour would be brilliant, they would chase each other and toy around together which is really good fun to watch! Im not saying what you have done is wrong only it could be better for the fish :good:

well ill give you some personal experience then, I have 5 cories, they shoal, happy?

i want to know what type of cory the last picture is not what i should and shouldnt do, your suppose to be helping, not continually critisising. answer the question i am looking for or dont post. if someone wants to have a question answered then answer it, dont answer something they dont want answered.

it seems you are only accepting what you want to hear.....classic

as for your link, it proves nothing at all. And your "Ha" comment is what has gone beyond the line i am afraid, i have not been confrontational to you whatsoever before that remark, and people have given you advice and you throw it back in their face. Be grateful for what advice you do receive.

"Cories get along with anyone and anything that wants to get along with them. :) I believe they do best in same-species schools but cories of any kind are better than no cories at all. A single cory is a sad little fish!"

even that piece of pretty misleading advice doesnt support your view :hyper: and its not even correct advice! wow.

you only need eyes? funny we have years of research to support us.

I was just replying to your post. It seems that you have set a double standard though, as you have thanked andyw823 for his reply on the same topic. I wasn't trying to critisize your situation. I was just saying that wasn't very good proof, and they didn't actually say that the fish will shoal together. That is not to say that they won't, but your proof in the argument was flawed. No hard feelings though. Have you tried this site? http://www.nettaigyo.com/corydoras/encyc/index-e.html

It's your choice, but I dont see why you asked for advice if you had no intention of taking it?
He just asked for advice. I get so sick of people who give advice and then if their advice isn't taken then OH NO your a horrible fish keeper. Your advice doesn't hold any more weight than anyone elses. Corys of different types will shoal together, and if they are shoaling together, whats the big deal?

Because its obivous, hes only accepting that only putting them in 1s or 2s will be fine and they will live "happily" because it means he wont have to go to the fish shop and buy more. Ease of the fishkeeper. Its the way it goes sometimes, some people are like that.

edit: edited to avoid confusion.
