I have finished buting my cories in there are 2 albino, 1 peppered, 1 unknown (sterbai possibly) and one large unknown (maybe bronze). I just wanted to share the pictures with everyone, please help me with the ID of the two cories. The small one has orange bottom fins. Sorry about the poor picture quality, they are hard to catch and I don't have a steady hand!

Your last pic might be a bronze but hard to tell, does it look like this?

Also you would have better to stick with the same type eg.... 5 bronze or 5 peppered ect!

It's probably best that you ask in the catfish section but I agree with sterbai for the first unknown and probably bronze for the second though I don't know what the markings are really like from that pic - the coloration and general pattern is typical of bronze cories but there are some other species with similar patterning and coloration.

Here's the sterbai profile on PlanetCatfish: http://planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=1071
And the aenus: http://planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=51

Look through these if you are unsure: http://planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=1

no, it doesn't look like that, does it look like a skunk cory?

What happened to getting two more of the same kind you already had? These wont shoal together so wont be very happy.

they do all shaol together and look very happy, they all swim at the front or swim to the back together.

It's your choice, but I dont see why you asked for advice if you had no intention of taking it?

yes , it is my choice and I researched it first on different website and found out that it would be fine to keep them in the current numbers. they are all happy and well. shoaling together

can someone please help me find the id of the last picture.

i think it might be a skunk cory.

it is big, two inches easy.

What did the LFS say it was?

eh, they just had them classed as various cories (there were all sorts in the tank). I asked the guy and he said he didn't know, but he didn't seem to know much!

I got him in Grosvenor Tropicals in Lisburn.

I can tell you that they wont be happy and need to be in groups of 3+ of their own type.

i can tell you that they are happy, i wish people wouldn't go on about it, they are shoaling and are perfectly fine. i am now trying to find the id of the last picture.

I see we have a fish psychologist in the making - one that can read his fish's minds lol

Where's the link to the site that says it's ok to keep one of each type and that they will shoal together? Wouldnt mind a read of that...

There has been research into this by experts and the fact is that they prefer to be in groups of 3+, the situation would have been much easier if you would have just accepted the fact in the first place and then we wouldnt have to repeat ourselves. I dont like to do it but you are just denying fact.
This is especially frustrating since it appears that you have rejected the help offered to you in a past thread where people have given up their own time to help you and give you advice.
