Ive got two percula clowns. As advised, i got one bigger one and one smaller one. The bigger one is a healthy deep orange clour, but he other ones more of a yellow. In pics, i see that small ones are more yellow than orange...is this normal? As he gets bigger, will his colour develop? He eats well, coming up witht eh other when i open the hood of the tank, thinking im gonna feed them
He's been in there for 4 months so he must be okay...
Cheers

yeh colour should develop usually with age and good nutrional feeding! ive seen to really yellowy orange clowns since there only about 2 inches long.

Also tank bred clowns are usually more yellow or light orange, while wild caught clowns are bright orange. This isn't always correct, though.

if you have had it for 4 months and it is eating well I wouldnt worry about it

I got two clowns too one is smaller and the smaller one has gone from a deep orange to a very dark dirty blacky brown, they have both been doing the little dance to each other too!

I beleive both are tank bred!

Sorry to hijack the thread pengy

I have two clowns ( I know its rare :D ) The larger one is a black and white 2 1/2" and the smaller one is a true pecula clown 2". They have both taking a likeing to one piece of rock which they dont stray far from on an evening but both sleep in a different front corners of the tank. What I,ve noticed lately is the B&W tends to clean the rock occasionally and does a bit of a shudder in front of the smaller one evry so often, Is the hussy offering her self to the other  or is it some thing they just do any way.

Regards Gaz
