For all you MCR fans out there, they released a new single out on iTunes today, "Welcome to the Black Parade". It's really good I recromend buying it, I did, it's a little different than their other stuff, but hey, it's still really good. For all you didn't know, Gerard cut his hair and dyed it blonde.

Wrong. They may dress it, but they aren't. They're more alternative, rock and death rock. The only remotely emo song they actually have is Thank You For The Venom.

death rock? try listening to cannibal corpse or Death before you call MCR death when theyre pop emo :)

Like MCR - really good.

Regardless, it's still emo tripe. You couldn't pay me enough to listen to their stuff.

My Chemical Romance make me miss the Proclaimers and Bros, they are that bad.

Ok, I'm just curious, how many of their songs have you actually heard. Half the time, when a band has single's out, they aren't there best songs.

Personally I think they are a bit tryhard and are a bunch of wannabes, that said however, I don't mind their music. It is alot better than the hundred and one other bands with the exact same emo image they have. It's a pity that they think they have to "fall in" with the other retards who's music sucks alot more than theirs.

To me, the whole emo thing is just retarded, alot of people I know who think they are emo are always saying "poor little lonely me" on one hand yet raving about how they couldn't get through life without their mates. How the hell does that work? Sorry but you can't really have it both ways I think. Then you get some of these whiney little bands always whinging about how life is so hard and stuff yet they are rolling in cash, again, excuse me but um...WTF?!?

The second thing I find humourous is how they think they are so misunderstood yet they are nothing more than this generation's goths, punks, etc. Every generation seems to have it's own subculture which delves into the same general way of thinking, etc and emo is just the next evolution in that line IMO.

But, that's why they release them as singles, because they consider them to be the best songs!

There's no point releasing your worst songs to try and get people to buy them

I admit MCR are a guilty pleasure of mine. At time the solos are a bit queen-esque, so I can put up with it.

We've got the video for black parade up on the website I work with at the moment, last week it had the most views of all our videos, this week it's dropping....

They are pretty emo.. regardless.. they have had songs I've liked in the past.. not much of a fan of the new song although I downloaded it.

Has anyone who thinks they are emo actually heard any of their albums? I have listened to all three albums.
Mostly it's about revenge and murder.
I would never class them as emo. They're more gothic, and no I'm not saying they are goth rock.
Hawthorne Heights are an emo band. MCR and Hawthorne Heights are extremly different.
=]

i like mcr i was however only aware the had 1 album out not 3 but w/e

@ dark angel, do you keep fish at all??
