Very nice fish I imagine you get more or less half regular half albino with the pair?

Did the male take the female back after he drove her away?

well i have only had them lay once as they are a "just married" pair and i thought it was a dud batch but was wrong when i moved the cave and saw 2 little wrigglers come out so ther must be more they are not free swimming yet so i will let you know what they are like i presume some will be pink but i think mostly striped

I have one breeding pair. Over the last 2 years, they have produced 5 fry groups.
LFS will take them as donations. But I have found some people who live near me that keep Red Slider Turtles. Nuff said.

Sunday they laid more eggs.

just to update that my batch of fry are now free swimming and doin fine i will add pics when i have time ...

i finally have a video of my fry so here it is let me know what you think

cheers i know convicts are easy to breed but this is my first ever batch and for them to be swimming around and parents looking after them for thier first time just feels good :)

well all my babies are still doing fine they have all started gettin some colour to them now and if i am correct the the it is 50% of both colour varients will get pictures when i can get clear ones

they will do in an LFS but when you get them home and get them in breeding colours all fish look 10x more stunning

hi i have the same as you, male strped female not.. but lots of time they laid eggs but always ate them on the 3rd day.
but 3 days ago they laid again and they hatched.. now they are swimming cute things look like tadpoles..now the thing is what do i feed them (fry) as new to this.. i do not know weather to move mum and dad to another tank.. any help would be great
thanks

best thing to feed them IME is hikari first bites but take a glass of tank water out and put the food in there swirl it round then add it that way it doest float and it sinks so the fry can eat it... as for them eating eggs it takes a few times for them to get it right i was lucky mine cracked it first time anbd i have some good fry now half pink and half striped

good luck with them
