A few weeks ago my Angels spawned for the first time, I panicked and invested in another tank (well 2 actually, you can never have enough tanks :) )

Unfortuantly the female ate the spawn on day 3

To cut a long story sort I re landscaped my Juwel Rekord and moved it's tenants out and the pair of Angels in

Well today they have spawned again :hyper: Hopefully this time they won't eat them

Here are some picture I took yesterday

Come to think of it where they are in the tank is very near they leaf they have spawned on, I'm now thinking they had been cleaning it

where are pics of the eggs ? :p

I will try to get some tomorrow, I am keeping the tank dark cos the eggs are light sensitive :good:
How old and how big are your angels?

They are not that old actually we got them from our LFS around Easter time, so they we've had them about 4/5 months and their bodies were no bigger than a 50 pence piece

Daft question but how do you measure Angels??? Nose to fin, just their body??? :S

Daddy's body is rougly 2.5" by 2.5" (this does not inclue his fins they are at least another 2" each)

Any particular reason you asked this question?

Would it not also depend on the size of tank you have them in??? :S

do they have to be removed from parents?

They can be but we're sitting this lot out

Mummy ate the last lot of spawn

All looking good so far, the eggs are still there roughly 48 hours late

I will take a good look in the morning when ther is some natural light in the room so I don't have to turn the tank light on

Hopefully I should be able to see 'wigglers'

:good:

I have a 25 gallon tank

Beautiful fish! They literally look almost identical to mine! MIne haven't breed yet, but hopefully soon!

I have a 25 gallon tank

That's 113 litres give or take

The tank these guy have is 200 litres, about 43 gallons

They will be going back into the above tank which is our community tank once the fry are a few weeks old

They only reason we moved them was beacuse they were getting aggressive due to the fact they were preparing leaves and getting ready to spawn

I think we may invest in a bigger tank solely for them the breeding tank it's ideal to keep them there forever because it's only 70 litres (15 gallons)

I would like to say they were my choice be to be honest they weren't

I didn't like them  but the other half 'had to have them'

They have grown on me :good:

We had 3 but for some reason one didn't grow at all and was almost see through, the little guy only lasted 2 months :rip:
My daughter named them Twinkle, Tiny and Star but I have no idea which was which lol

To be honest, mine were not my first choice either. I was at an auction, and all angel pairs were selling for like 14 bucks. I didn't want to pay that, so I walked off to look at other angels. Then, I hear " angelfish pair, 1 dollar! ". I bought them, but one was basically dead. No swimming, just lying there. It had gone into shock. So, with the help of a man there, we changed the water with highly oxygenated water, and put some aspirin in there. Two hours later, you couldn't tell anything was wrong! They have definatley grown on me aswell!
