This afternoon i decided that i couldn't handle the black hair algae and needed to get my hands in there and start cleaning up which let to a major aquascaping. (which i'm still not really happy with)
Well as i was hand picking the algae my new bolivians i got about a week ago from another BCA member; were sooo aggressive and majorly attacking me! I didn't think much of it until i was talking with my friend who suggested maybe they were guarding a spawn - well i took a closer look and low and behold - EGGS!
The thing is i lifted that rock at one point during the aquascaping to take some of the alge off the top...i didn't take it out of the water or anything. My guess is it didn't do too much damage cause they're still fanning the eggs and being feirce about guarding them. I guess only time will tell!
I'm hoping to rear some if they hatch. I hope i'll be able to catch them - the tank is 7ft long!
Has anyone had any success breeding these guys? If so - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Connie

Very typical of rams. I could never get them to raise a spawn nor get some to even spawn at all. I have a pair of Bolivian Rams but I just have them there for my community tank pleasure. They go through the spawing thing but I never expect anything from them.
