When I put in my rams, all went well for a few days until the larger bolivian ram started to chase around the female I got him and later my 2 blue rams.

Later, the blue rams were also chasing this poor female which was then left with the option to hide in the plants in a corner of the tank.

I got fed up with this so i put the bully in a breeding net for an hour.

I just let him go and he went straight for his pipe and he's still in there right now. He's hiding so he's not causing nay damage to my other fish right now.

I hope he'll elanr not to chase away everybdy and he must share the tank with the others, otherwise i'll return my 2 bolivian rams and get something else...

to be honest 20 gallons just isnt enough for 2 pairs of cichlids, you could create 2 distint tertitories, one at either end and see if that helps, if not then i think ull have to rehouse one pair before any real harm is done

:( i want another pair of rams, gold rams for my tank but today i bought a big thing of rocks and made caves on both sides of the tank......i hope it works

To be honest Yvez, you cant buy a fish and expect it to work for you, you have to work for the fish whether thats by researching your fish first before buying it or by changing its environment(rocks, substrate or water chem). I aggree that 2 pairs of cichlids will not get along in a 20g(maybe if there was lots of plants and caves to seperate them more). In my 55g with my breeding pair of blue rams, they take about half of the tank up(so thats 25 gallons for just one pair thats being used up) for their territory when they breed. Also with most cichlids, if they've paired up and feel the need to breed, this increases aggresison towards other fish. I would get rid of one pair of rams or you can try adding more decor so the bullied ones have places for shelter, but most likely one pair will have to be removed. I'll take em off ya if you want a good home for them $5 ;)

I did set up two difference areas for them to establish territories

it did work out as the blue rams took one part of the tank and my male blivian rtam took the other (much larger i must add) but the female is just being rejected by them all.

if you want them snowy, they're all yours! :p
