My Bettas!

ok, i have four bettas. two males, two females. the females i belive are both plakats, and one of my males (polo) is actually a double tailed betta, but got in a fight, and my other betta is a VT (marco). well, here are some pics.

it may seem blue in the picture, but he's actually a very pretty light violet.

I must say, though.... if Marco is a VT he has the most perfect finrot pattern I've ever seen . Definitely looks like a CT to me. I think that Polo, on the other hand, is a VT (or delta maybe, I can't tell with his fins ripped like that)... his dorsal fin doesn't look wide enough for him to be carrying the DT gene, so maybe his tail was just split when you bought him? The dorsal fin of a DT is nearly identical in width to the anal fin, like this: http/www.bubblenest.net/gallery/images/redll-dt.jpg

Edit: Oh, just as an FYI, most on this forum would recommend that if you're housing female bettas together that you have 4 or more. Females are aggressive too, so larger numbers helps spread the aggression around... but if you're not seeing any ripped fins or much chasing between your girls then they might be ok as is

well, the purple guy is definately a TT, the lady at petsmart said he got in anothers little container and fought. and ur r probably right about the VT being a CT, that petstore never gets anything right. i specifically told them once what a serpae tetra was, and yet he gave me the wrong one. i know that he looks like spots twin! i posted that in teh topic u made for him. and ya, my females get along fine, when my freind gave me his betta (sweety) she was in a tank with tiger barbs, cichlids and a oscar. and my other female (pie) was in a tank with serpae tetras and tiger barbs.
