My Bettas

I currently have three male's: Opal, Spyro and Spenny.

Spyro and Opal share a divided 2ft tank

,
and Spenny has a 1ft tank to himself in my room.

This is Opal and his tank, he shares his tank with a yellow apple snail and lots of baby zebra snails.

This is Spyro, he is still a baby; i recently got him from Netty and Bronzecat; he is stunning but a lil camera shy!

Spyro shares his tank with a breeding pair of Zebra snails, and a borneo sucker.

This is Spenny, he has a tank to himself in my room

well these are my boys, and i love them - let me know what you think?
The divided tank was the first i have ever done, and i tryed to make it look fun decoration wise, Spenny's tank is currently a little bare so i will work on that when i get more funds.

I also have a 3ft community tropical, and a 2.5ft temperate coolwater community.

Also can anyone tell me what tail types all of my bettas are?

Did you say you have zebra nerite snails breeding? If so this is very unusual - they usually require marine or at lease brackish conditions from what i've been told. Have they just produced eggs, or any actual baby snails?

Awwww Laura they all look great and so do the tanks.....well done on the divided one...I bet the boys love it in there And it's great to see Spyro looking so happy in his new home Yay....he's got a castle

Is Spenny your other new one? He looks like a young VT to me. Opal has got loads of finnage....can you get a pic of him flaring. He looks HM but may be RT....I'm not 100% and Spyro being from HM/SD lines could go either way but will be fun to see him in a few weeks/months time as he grows.

Looking at the pic I got of him....I'd say HM

hello, well i have eggs all over a piece of bog wood and they are hatching - i had on last count 6 babies, however you cant see their colouring yet as they are so small; but i only have one other snail in the tank and thats an apple snail and you need two apples to breed - so they must be from the zebras...

did you receive my envelope for water lettuce? i cant wait to try it in the tanks

hello, well i have eggs all over a piece of bog wood and they are hatching - i had on last count 6 babies, however you cant see their colouring yet as they are so small; but i only have one other snail in the tank and thats an apple snail and you need two apples to breed - so they must be from the zebras...

Ah cool, well if you get too many, i'm first in line!

I'm just about to bag up your water lettuce now actually, so it should be with you tomorrow or weds hopefully

Spenny is indeed my other new one, he has odd black flecs on him - you can just about see them in the pic - when i got him i thought they were an external parasite - however they appear to be part of him - very confusing

I got him from a pet store he was in a tank with lots of large fish, i couldnt resist him. he has such nice colouring and a really laid back personality, i wanted to get a friend to go in his tank but i dont think its big enough to add other fish.

I cant seem to get a picture of opal flaring - he wont stay still - he does have a full cheek to cheek beard when he flares.

Spenny is so laid back he wont even flare at his reflection - very odd - he just likes to look at it.

how are all your bettas doing now?

does anyone have any suggestions for tank companions for Spenny or Spyro? they are both quite calm compared to Opal.

I will be adding more live plants to both tanks soon.

You could try some Ottos or Pygmy Corys.......they should get along with the bettas fine. Ours have a little chase of the Ottos now and then but nothing serious
