Sparkles was living in a totally empty tank(i know, its mean :( ) for a few weeks because I had to make sure the nematodes didnt come back after I had a bad outbreak and bleached everything.

After deciding yesterday it was safe to re do his tank I went out and got a bunch of plants and a nice peice of wood for him.

Im an aweful aquascaper and I dont like how it looks so maybe someone could suggest something to improve it :)

The peice of real wood is really neat as it has a cave in it for him to play and sleep in and even a little back door on the back :) He LOVES it in there.

The tank is the 6 Gallon Eclipse

It looks fine to me and the plants will soon fill it up more :good:

You could try and put a background on the back of the tank to make you're boy stand out more. Just a piece of coloured card would do the trick.

I'd take that plant at the front right and move it to the side. Otherwise when it grows it'll block the front of the tank. I'd also get more plants for the back. Cabomba or Elodia is a good option and they are often sold in mixed bunches of stems so you get a bit of each. Some Java moss tied to the wood would also be really nice once it gets going. My Duncan likes to rest in his , and my girls pick bits of food and swim in and out of theirs :p
