now that I have decent lighting i am going to get some ferns and swords for the 2 sections that have the pots in them. Once a week on water change day I rotate the fish so they get a change of scenary :)I am also getting rid of the castle and getting another peice of drift wood instead. it is just what I had kicking around for now.

Thats a very nice looking tank, and nice colourfull bettas. Have to agree on getting rid of the castle.

I think some Vallis would look nice in the far right hand section with the wood.

Thanks :) I know it does'nt look like most poeples tanks on here loaded with plants and such. I tried that once and it turned into one big mess.

Im not sure how well the plants will do becuase im not using a filter and airstone in this tank. I will give it a shot though with some easy to grow stuff. The tank has a 15 watt eclipse light but I may have to buy a new fixture because this one makes a really annoying buzzing.

Just give the plants a go, you maybe surprised and they do well. Airstones would drive off the CO2 in the tank anyway.

Hi,
What are the dimensions of your tank and how many gallons/litres is it?
Nice tank though. Beautiful bettas too but I read that male bettas seeing each other stresses them out. I don't know if it's true but maybe a betta expert could help, unless your one in which case I'm sure your bettas will be in fine care. :)
Best of luck with your little beauties!

it is a regular 10 gallon tank so they each got 2.5 galllons. The dividers are black mesh so they can't really see eachother. I think all they can see is a shadow on the otherside but they can't make it out to be a another fighter so is okay and doesn't appear to stress them at all :)

Im going to take individual photos of each of the and post them here in a little while :)

Hi Just_Another_One :)

What a pretty arangement for your beautiful fish.

thanks inchworm. I know its not great but it is a big improvement from what they were in before. i had them in a divided 5 gallon and a divided 6 gallon but it looked very junky..they were plastic and all scratched up and dirty so I am quite liking their new set up.

Once I replace the castle with another wood piece and get a few ferns and swords it should be much better :)
