I got two bettas on monday, I have never owned any other kind of fish before.. So I bought a double little tank for them. My red one flared but my blue-orange one wouldn't. on tuesday I went out and got another tank in which I put in aquarium salt, bottled water, equlizer, and betta first aid kit medicine which turned the water blue.
Well my blue-orange betta finally flared and underneath its gills it looks like openings going straight into its flesh.. it's complete pink and flesh looking. There is no black on his gills. Is that normal.. or is there something wrong with his gills? He's also not eating his pallets and neither is the red one.. However they did eat the blood worms I gave them. The blue-orange one spits out his pallets.
