Well he will not touch flake food so i bought him some atison betta pellets and he wont eat them the only things he eats are brineshrimp he goes mad for them darts around the tank gobbling them up and bloodworm but he doesn't really eat them all just a few then swims away what should i do i really want him to teat the atisons

try soaking the pellets in the brine / bloodworm juice so they smell the same. How often do you feed him? a few days without food and he should take a pellet or two.

As Wilson said above and also you could try crushing the pellet for him. If you've just got him, then it may take him a few days to settle in properly to his new home.

My new boy took a MONTH to start eating properly (well, properly to my standards, anyway). he would ONLY eat bloodworms. Just keep trying and trying and trying. Eventually he'll get the idea (and you will be soooo relieved!).
cheers!

Well, if your giving him bloodworms and he cant eat all of them, your probably overfeeding. My betta will only get 2 bloodworms OR 2 brine shrimp once day and thats all, for pellets only 1 a day. Frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp are best, cause since you know he already likes them, all you do is defrost part of the cube, instead of wasting all the food like live food which dies quickly. I also use Hikari betta bites, if they sell them by you there really good!

i only feed once a day small amounts just got up and all the pellets are gone that was left in so i think hes eating them now :)

Thanks for the replys

try crushing up tetra pro colour...my betta loves it

also daphina, brine shrimp and bloodworm as a treat, leaving him for a 2 days without food should make him eat.....

keep variety in the diet will help him
