thanks, he is gorgeous. no the reason i asked if they can is because i went away for three days and when he realized i was gone and someone else was feeding him, he turned brown and wouldn't eat. he didn't swim and when i came home, his color came back and he started going crazy when i came up to his tank.Hes lovely, Ive got one very similar to him. Im 100% sure they recognise their owners.![]()

Id pop a thermometer in his tank to check what the temperature is to make sure and if it is too cold then get him a 25w heater. If hes in a hot room them you probably wont need one but best to make sure.![]()

mine does dances too. thanks for the tenp70-82F is best. Yeah, all of my guys come and give be wiggle dances![]()

ohBettas generally do better in warmer water so 78/79f would be better![]()
