Yay!!! :D

Finally got the tank set-up. My 65L Juwel Rekord has now been turned into a female betta sorority tank.

Its abit crowded with plants, but i suppose thats good??! :look:
The females should be here soon. I already have Tizzy, she will be going in too!

Will add piccies later.

Lots of plants is a must with a sorority. Best of luck. Watch your girls carefully and have a couple back up fish bowls incase the sorority doesn't work out ;)

Well i rescaped it about 2o times! lol

heres a few piccys;- Tizzy(hm) is in there as we speak! and she is loving all the space!
the other 4 should be arriving soon! :)

Very nice setup, I think. Hey, is that sand hard to maintain? I have gravel and use a vaccumm but I can see the sand being sucked up right in there with the water.

Pretty tank. Aren't you suppose to take everything out and rearrange it before putting the rest of the females in?

Thanks for the nice comments! :)

Sand is ok to maintain, (aslong as you have no silly snails!!) I would prefer gravel though!

@GG- im going to take Tizzy out, put the new females in then put her in after. IOt should be ok this way! :)

are those silk or real plants? they look so cool!

Hi Nessar, they are silk plants from the AquaFlora range. (Really expensive seperatley, but i got a job lot at a bargain price!)

Thanks for the kind comment! :)

My Female bettas shuld be here tommorrow! :)

2X PK, 1XHM and 1XCT, then my old HM too :)

i couldnt get any piccies of the red one, as all she does is hide under the flter :( Should i be worried?

Also, 2 of them have had stress stripes since they came, is this normal? Tizzy my old HM is defos the dominent one. These new bettas are half the size of her. LOL

Heres the pics! :)

Very sweet fish. Have you got names for them all? I've never had female bettas but I think stress stripes are normal until they settle in.

That's a really nice setup :good: ( but nowhere near crowded wth plants, if anything it needs more )

@ Lacuna- thanks, Nope no names. apart from Tizzy my old halfmoon. :good: Doubt i will name them all, not really good with names.

@ honeythorn- thanks! When you look at it, you cant really see the fish, cos theres so many plants, but i see what you mean. IMO, i think the front is fine, its the back that needs more plants. I will start looking around for some.
:good:

That's how it should be, they like to hide! You need lots more long tall ones to cover the back , like the one I can see in the back left :good:
