My Betta Is Actin Wierd

today i changed his water and when i put him back in his tank he started goin crazy and he would lean to one siden and stay at the top of the tank.later he calmed down but he is stil not right he is hangin out in thefake plant.i felt the water and it kinda cold should i buy a heater?is he sick?someone plz help me!!

Some people choose not to heat the tanks as bettas can survive in cold water, however they are a tropical fish and therefore prefer warm water. I would suggest to buy a heater. How big is his tank?
What do you feed him? Did you use water conditioner when you changed the water? Does he seem bloated atall?

right now i have a half gallon tank but am soon getting a bigger one. i feed him NUTRAFIN MAX.yes i used conditioner.and o he doesnt look bloated

awfuly small tank. are you puting water straight from the tap in to change his water? you should levae it over night to let the temprature even out. or add a small amount of warm water to bring the temprature up a bit

Bettas don't care for colder water and you'll definitely see a behavior/health change when they're too cold. When you refill a tank, try to get the temperature of the new water to at least within a few degrees of the existing water.

Yes, get him a heater. They don't handle temp fluctuation well.
