My Betta Finnson

well had my betta a few weeks now and for some reason he seems to be getting abit fatt on the tummy am i over feeding him? or is there anither reason for this?

also.. when i came home last night there are loads of small white bubbles in one corner of my tank! anyone why thay are there, is it cos of the pump? they are very small and dont seem to move from that corner with the flow of the pump

what are you feeding ?and how much are you feeding ? and how many times a day do you feed him ?

if finnson getting a bit of a belly on him he may be constipated so id try him on a shelled pea to try and flush him out i never feed my bettas on a sunday to give them a day off.

if there are loads of white bubbles then finnson has made a bubble nest. people say that it is a sign of happiness and contentment. but bettas make these bubble nests when they are getting ready for spawning. just leave them where they are its seems that finnson loves his new surroundings.

arr right cool! i wont be able to spawn him but will maybie in the future when i have a bigger tank and time etc, if i clean the tank out as its due will it pee him off cos the nest will be gone dont want to upset the little man, also. how often will he build one? they onlui ready to breed once a year?

I just got a VT and he built a bubble nest the same day I put him in his new tank! I did his water change and had to destroy his huge bubble nest unfortunatly I was worried he would get mad but I put him back in and I looked in the next day and he has done another huge bubble nest! He is so proud of it, he sits under it when I got near his tank
They will build them whenever they feel like it I suppose, Im not too sure to be honest....

Shelled pea - cook a few peas and let them cool down, then remove the outer shell and roll up the inside bit into little balls so they resemble pellets and feed him this. If he doesnt eat it, then you need to start not feeding him for 1 day a week so his insides can clear out.

bettas are always ready to breed and will deffinetley build another nest. i dont know what exactley what the peas do but they work very well
