i have a large angel, almost the size of my hand, he has always been the domanant fish in the tank chasing the others around the tank but all of a sudden a couple of months ago my Beta is chasing him round the tank to the point my angel is cowarding in the corner behind the plants.

I have never seen it before but my beta can be normal one minute and all of a sudden his mane around his neck (i think its his gills bit) suddenly prick up that he has a lions mane nearly all round his head, its quite a scary experience if you have never seen it but should i maybe seperate them?

yes he needs to be taken out of the tank, the betta that is.

I should take him out quickly and put him in something else (but not down the toilet like someone I know did once!!!) once he has decided the Angel is a threat he wont let it alone. :good:

i had to pop out to the shops after making this thread and when i came back - hes after my other angel now - si that normal for them to suddenly turn? they got on for the past year that i have bad both of of them :S

bettas are very strange beings lol

my male sd, was fine with my cories and has now been attacking them badly so i moved the cories into another tank

id take him out and get him his own tank :)
