and the marine tank: two clownfish, 2 green chromis, 1 wrasse?, 1 regal tang, 1 blennie/goby (one of the two) along with a very annoying teddybear crab which is pretty big that we can't seem to get rid of!

Wow thats a lot of tanks for 1 room haha!!

How come you dont fill your tanks up to the top? Those goldfish would do much better in a bigger tank but even a top up would be better than nothing.

The community tank worries me you have a real odd bunch of fish in there including things that get quite big - though even that Congo Tetra looks quite massive in the tank - how big is the tank? And what is the stocking in there.

Thanks :)
And the community tank wasn't originally like that, a lot of the fish came from a friend whose tank literally cracked and we saved what fish was left as they were to be rehomed. It's a aqua one bow front 170l bow front with a tetratec ex700 and an internal fluval.

I've also got a 4ft rena tank that I'm going to swap out the 96 and the cube when I get around to lugging it into the house!

I am jealous. I wish I had as many tanks!

You have an odd selection of fish for your community tank though. It surely wont be long until some of those fish are not appropriate for a tank of that size.

Thanks :)

Ah right fair enough, loads of tanks cracking at the moment its crazy!! Just make sure you can sort them out responsibly :) Bearing in mind the Bala and the Clowns will need a 6 footer but get the congo some friends and get them in the 4 foot :)

Also one more worry for me - the platy fry tank the water level is really out which can be a bit of a problem with keeping the tank water tight  I would try and get the tank on a more stable stand and get the water level as straight as possible.

so i should get some polystyrene to go underneath?

all of the fish that will outgrow will do so by the time in which i will of built my fish house, so the clowns, congo's etc will go in the 6ft-ers! i want to set up the 4ft for a lake malawi tank, just need some more ocean rock and because i am going to run both the tetratec ex700 thats out in the shed with the aquamanta efx200 i cant do anything till ive bought another filter for the 96l (most probably just a fluval u4 as i want to have either apistos, my fairy cichlids or some kribs etc).

nice tanks! haha if thats on the second floor i wouldnt let more than 2 people in my room or the floor may give! XP
