I've shared these photos in another post, trying to figure out their sex!

But I just can't resist showing them off here too, they're just to beautiful to keep to myself!! :D

Get me clear pictures of their black dots and label the pictures of each fish. Both sides of each fish would be great. I'd be happy to sex them for you.

That would be fab thank you

I will try and get some clear ones tomorrow

And thank you gmc1

Males tend to have elongated 2nd rays on dorsal and as they get bigger tend to have more flowing fins.

Females have dark first ray on their pelvic fins, and as Snyder alluded to, fish with blue dots showing through black on the big spot are also females. When in breeding condition females stomachs go a kind of purple colour. (a bit like kribs).

I have a few of these and agree they are just beautiful.

Heres a good page demonstating this.

Just seen your other post so my reply is a bit redundant, howver the link I sent is pretty good.

Munroco, while females show blue, so do males. It's not the blue or the amount of blue. It's how defined it is. Fins help, but the blue is more reliable if you have a eye for it.

CSnyder00 I have popped some pics up on my other post, and kind of labelled them male/female, or what my untrained eye would say were male/female!
