Hi its my first post here yay!

Anyway i have a pair of breeding bristlenose catfish in my 130 litre tropical freshwaer tank and so far they have bred three times that i know of.
The first time they bred i caught the babies and put them in a litte breeding net thing that hung on the side of the tank. I did this without either of the parents. However they all died and didn't eat the food i dropped in.
The second time i just let the bristlenoses do what they wanted wih the babies. And all of them hid in a small hole in my main rock. More survived for a while and they got bigger but then they dissapeared. I havenet seen them since
The third time has just happened recently and i have 8 of the babies by themselves in an icecream cntainer until i can find out a better place to put them.

So my question is how can i help them survive?
Do i put them in the breeding net thing with the parents?
Do i just leave them?
Do i put them in an alternate tank (i have a 30 liter tank that is not set up i could get a hang on filter from a friend who had fish but i don't know if i can get aother heater)
If i set up another tank do i put the parent bristlenoses in?

Sorry for long post but want help and don't want to be a fish butcherer!!!

If they are anything like L66 in care, I'd just leave them with their parent fish untill they are free swimming arround the tank, then round them up an move them to a seporate tank to grow on. The new tank needs to be arround the 3-4 foot mark, and should have daily 30-50% waterchanges and 3+ feedings a day to get the best growth rates :good:

All the best

yea i leave my baby brisltle noses either with the parent or once they have been allowed out and the male no longer guards them ive most some to a small tank with lots of algae, this has worked as well, they wont survive in a net as they need algae. di
