Hello there I'm new to this forum and just wondered if I could get some advise iv got a 200 litre aqurium , at the moment I have 8 danios " zebra and leopard mix " , 8 tiger barbs , 1 red-tailed shark and 2 plecos ! I added the red-tail today and seems to be settleing in well ! The tiger barbs niped his tail abit at first but this seems to have stopped since his chased a couple of them back ! And seems to have claimed the tree roots in there as his territory , just wondered what else would be good to add as tank mates or have I reached the limit for a 200 litre ? Many thanks

welcome to the forum...
hate to put a downer on a new fish.. but red tailed sharks need 300L really(give or take...) what are the dimensions of your tank.

i dont know much about the other fish. sorry.

what filter do you have?
you can add more fish if the bio-load can be taken by the filter and if the fish have enough room to swim. e.g i wouldn't get any more bottom dwellers as your plecs are there and they'll grow big. but you might be able to get top dwellers.
also if the fish wont be aggressive to one another.

also it depends on how many hiding places there are for them. so they feel safe =]

hope this helped a little

hi im assuming you have a 4footer? if it was me i would add more tiger barbs and more danios's if your filter can cope with it. i would get some different colour strains maybe just to spice it up. as long as you have some decent cover and hiding places and broken lines of sight, they should look nice. the plec and the shark arent good choices for lots of reasons.if it was me i would swap them for some loaches of some kind maybe or smaller catfish. apart from that i wouldnt get any new species and i would make sure there is plenty of cover as tiger barbs and danios are feisty. hope this helps
