my angels have bent bottom whisker things ( i have no idea what it's called )

my tank doesnt' have too many ornaments that would get in their way .. they like to swin through the pirate ship that's there but is that what's causing it ??

should i take the ship out ?? i really don't want to do that or do angels get the bent thing anyway .. they've just been playing alot ?

i'm bit worried but well *hmm* :(

the whisker things are called ventral fins. what size is the tank that they are in? with angels you want to give them higher tanks rather than length. hex tanks are ideal for angels. this could be why the ventrals are bent. could also be genetic.

my guess would be genetic semper most LFS angels aren't exactly F0 or F1.... but that would be my guess as to why they are bent but with out seeing a pic I can't say if it is totally normal or not, I have seen some weird things with angels though
I saw a 2 headed angel once where each head was fully functional with one body, it was almost as though it was supposed to be 2 fish but ended up being one. so bent ventrals are nothing to really worry about.

thanks for ur reply

but it's a two foot high tank i would have thought that was high enough .. or is because they've been swimming throught the holes of my pirate ship ? and it's been caught on their way in or out.

i'm pretty sure they weren't bent when i bought them though :/
